This beautiful handmade zebra print candle is made in Swaziland, Africa. The locals produce these candles using the special technique: Millefiore, which means a thousand flowers. The technique originates from Venice and was originally used to decorate glass beads that were used as currency.
The production process of a candle takes about 1 hour. The inside of the candle is made of kneadable and flammable local wax and the outside is made of colored, hard wax and 'glued' in strips to the soft wax. These strips are already provided with, for example, animal prints, animal figures, geometric figures, or authentic symbols.
Tip
The first time the candle is lit, it is advisable to extinguish the candle after half an hour and pour out the wax. The candle is then really ready for use. In addition, every candle remains usable! Because only the soft wax burns, the hard wax exterior remains intact, so that it still spreads atmospheric light with a tea light in it: Light from Africa.
